                                    May the advent of spring bring much joy and happiness in your lives and
      Zarathushti Association       may we as a community hold together and be able to enrich our lives
                of Quebec           and that of our children by being active proud members of the
                                    Zarathushti community. There are some members of our community
    Executive board committee       who are not enjoying good health at present, we wish them well and
                                    hope Ahura Mazda restores their good health soon.

Vida Fereydoonzad - Vice-president  All of us on the Board of ZAQ look forward to seeing you at the Nowruz
                                    Party on March 21st at the Rose Bowl. And since Nowruz is a special,
      Firooza Aubry - Secretary     once a year, event, let us make this a festive occasion and let us come
    Rohinton Marolia - Treasurer    dressed in traditional clothes. There will be gifts for children under 15.
                                    To encourage the revival of traditional customs there will be a contest
          Zareen Hakim Austin       for the best decorated egg and the tallest Sabzeh. There will be prizes
             Faranak Firoozi        for the best entry in the children’s category and the adult’s category. So
               Aazeen Irani         start growing that Sabzeh and decorating you eggs! And do not forget to
                                    put on your dancing shoes as there will be some good music to dance

                                    The Annual General Meeting will be held in June and there will be
               Jal Panthaki         elections this year for a new board. Some members of the present
                                    board will be finishing their term and they need to be replaced. We
                                    would encourage and welcome younger adults to come to the helm and
                                    assume the responsibility of leading the community. It will be a very
                                    satisfying experience which you will not regret. Think about it, you have
                                    three more months to decide.
