INTRODUCING YOUR NEW ZAQ EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
Vida Fereydoonzad – President
I completed my bachelor’s degree in 2011 at HEC Montreal and have since been
working in the field of Marketing. I was born and raised in Montreal but also love to
travel the world. I volunteer my time on many committees such as the executive
committee of the 60 million girls foundation, a non-profit organisation my mother,
Wanda Bedard, founded to support girls education in developing countries.
I was introduced to the Zoroastrian religion at a young age thanks to my late
grandmother, Mahin, who I remember watching recite her prayers every morning and
night in her room down the hall. It is thanks to the love and teachings from my
grandmother, aunt, cousins and ever supportive father, Farhad Fereydoonzad, that I
continue to be curious and want to learn more.
Aazeen Irani - Vice-president
I moved to Canada from Karachi, Pakistan in May 2011 and currently in my second
year as a Nursing student. I have been on the committee for the 2013-2015 term and
have been chosen to serve ZAQ for a second term from 2015 to 2017. The committee
provided the opportunity to be involved with the Zoroastrian religious classes for
children in previous years and I am very thankful for I got to learn a lot, as a teacher.
It has been a pleasure to serve the community in the past and I hope that we, as a
team, are able to organize some fun events and make it a memorable term for
everyone.
Khushnuma Daruwala – Secretary
I am originally from Mumbai, India and work as a Software Developer for Acquisio
Inc. I am a die hard foodie who loves to read, listen to music in my spare time; and
travel whenever possible. I've lived in Montreal since 2010 when I came to do my
Masters at Concordia University. So far I've helped out in setting up, bar tending and
cleaning up at our ZAQ events.
